Aulia Mouryningtyas (21 years old) is one of the recipients of the inspirational scholarship given by Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) and Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) in the year of 2021. Aulia is currently in her 8th semester at the Mitra Keluarga College of Health (STIKes) East Bekasi majoring in Nutrition. Aulia’s Grade Point Average (GPA) in her last semester was 3.55 (three point fifty five).

She was born in Bekasi, she is the first child of two siblings. The younger brother is currently in high school at grade 3. Currently, his father works as a driver at a company and his mother is a housewife. Aulia lives in a housing estate in the Cibitung area, Bekasi. The average population is a working community with an average education of high school and college.

While studying, Aulia lived with her family. Aulia chose the Mitra Keluarga College of Health (STIKes) East Bekasi as the place to continue her studies by the reason of she wanted to adjust to the distance from home and Aulia wanted to working in the world of health. Aulia also revealed the reasons why she wanted to go to college,

“In my opinion, college is important, indeed knowledge comes from anywhere. But that can also prove to others that my parents are great and have been able to take me into college.”

Financial Difficulties During the Covid-19 Pandemic

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Aulia experienced obstacles due to the financial limitations of her parents to pay for Aulia’s and her sister’s tuition fees. Then when Aulia was offered a scholarship by one of the companies, Aulia immediately submitted a scholarship proposal.

“I came from a well-to-do family, ma’am, but during the pandemic, everything has changed. So at that time, I immediately applied for a scholarship, because my sister also in a private school, so it’s even more difficult to pay for that.”

Aulia felt grateful that the scholarship application was immediately approved in this Covid-19 pandemic. And also Aulia felt relieved, thanks to the scholarship provided by YIIM and INSIGHT her family’s finances were helped. Finally, Aulia had the opportunity to get a scholarship starting from 5th semester. Aulia also tried hard in carrying out her lectures by maintaining her IP (Grace Index) value and keeping her grades.

Activity During College

During her college, Aulia is active in organizations such as being a staff of HIMA (Nutrition Student Association) in the editorial section in the 2018/2019 period and the chairman of the theater for 2 periods 2018/2019 and 2019/2020. In addition to the organization, Aulia is also active as an event committee, such as being a secretary for the committee at a nutrition seminar.

In addition to being active in organizations, Aulia and her four friends have opened a business, namely selling tacos under the business name of Taco Damas. This business started from the entrepreneurship course in the sixth semester. In the end, Aulia and her friends continued their taco business.

In running this business, Aulia sells with a pre-order system every Saturday. The products sold are tacos at a price of IDR. 15,000 to IDR. 19,000. The profits obtained are used for Aulia’s daily needs. However, Aulia is currently on a sales vacuum because she has to focus on her college such as internship and thesis.

Aulia hopes that in the future she able to be a successful nutritionist and work according to her field. And also Aulia expressed her hopes for YIIM and INSIGHT,

 “Hopefully the company will continue to stand strong and more and more will receive scholarships to help people achieve their goals.”
