On Friday 28th July 2023 YIIM in cooperation with Insight Investments Management Company re-conduct entrepreneurship management training which took place from 08.30 to 11.30 WIB. This program is in collaboration with the Class I State Detention Center (Rutan) Pondok Bambu which is located at Pahlawan Revolusi Street No.38, RT.4/RW.3, Pd. Bambu, Kec. Duren Sawit, City of East Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta.

This activity is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 1 regarding on reduce poverty, No. 8 regarding on decent work and economic growth, and No. 17 regarding on partnerships to achieve goals.

This training was attended by 29 participants, they are inmates of Pondok Bambu Detention Center. This entrepreneurship management training was guided by a moderator, she is Romadhona Putri Wulandari as YIIM staff. This entrepreneurship management training contained two materials, there are Simple Financial Bookkeeping for MSME Actors which was delivered by Riccana Rosita as Treasurer of YIIM. This material explains how to calculate the cost of goods sold (HPP) to MSME financial management. Then this training was continued with material on Business Innovation and Offline and Digital Marketing Strategies delivered by Muhammad Rajib Rakatirta as Marketing Communication Officer of Insight Investments Management Company. This material explains the basics of marketing to how to do marketing offline and digitally.

After the entrepreneurship management training was completed, the next series of events was the closing of the social entrepreneurship training program organized by YIIM and INSIGHT at the Pondok Bambu Detention Center. The closing of the training was attended by Mr. Kuswanto as KASI Management, Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as the CSR Coordinator of Insight Investments Management Company, and Mr. Chrisbiantoro as Chair of YIIM.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Kuswanto as KASI Management conveyed,

“I thank YIIM and INSIGHT for being willing to hold a training which I feel is the most appropriate training to be held here. Because the trainees are very serious about carrying out the training. There are various kinds of training such as cooking, sewing, salon, it’s really amazing. The hope is that in the future this training can be useful for all ladies to prepare outside later and hopefully there will be continuity training.”

Furthermore Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as the CSR coordinator of Insight Investments Management Company stated in his remarks that, “Hopefully this training can ideally be sustainable just like Insight which manages its mutual funds and there is an allocation of CSR funds to provide programs like this. The hope is that after this activity is finished YIIM and I will re-evaluate which ones are good, which ones we will continue and which ones we discontinue.”

And finally, in his closing remarks, Mr. Chrisbiantoro as Chair of YIIM stated, “Congratulations once again to these extraordinary participants. Hopefully all participants will find it useful. Knowledge will be lost if it is not developed. The hope is that later after the coaching period at the detention center can be developed and practiced in the community. For those who are still here, don’t be discouraged. Start the day being productive. When the knowledge comes out here, we will make it useful for the community, family, and ourselves. The image of the inmates is also getting better.”

This program is also part of YIIM and INSIGHT’s commitment to support government programs to create productive detention centers and capable of equipping inmates with various skills. It is hoped that this program can inspire wider elements who have concern for economic and social empowerment in detention centers so that they can break the chain of potential crimes in criminal acts.
