The aftermath of the M5.5 magnitude earthquake in Cianjur, Java, on December 2022, has resulted in considerable damage to infrastructure and public facilities in the area, including damage to educational facilities.
One of the locations that has received attention for relocation and development is the Tunas Karya Kindergarten, Tunas Karya Kindergarten building is located in Sukamulya Village, Gedeh Village, Pasirsapi Village and Barukaso Village. In this village it is estimated that there are 147 heads of families with a total of 420 people, while data related to the Kindergarten has two teachers with 26 students in the kindergarten class and 13 students in the pre-school class.
The relocation area for the renovation after the earthquake is located at Perkebunan Nusantara Company (PTPN) VIII unit Kebon Gede Cianjur West Java, the initial stage support of development provided for program activities implemented since July 2023 by The Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development or known as Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) in cooperation with Insight Investments Management Company through the distribution of CSR funds, have carried out the initial stage of development relocation Tunas Karya Kindergarten is located at PTPN VIII unit Kebon Gede Cianjur, West Java in partnership with local contractor Bougenville Cipta Abadi Company.
The support provided for the Relocation program for the construction of the Tunas Karya Kindergarten is in the form of funding support in the amount of IDR 444,183,000 (Four hundred forty four million one hundred and eighty three rupiah) this budget includes taxes and is adjusted to the level of the earthquake location in the field which is post-earthquake disaster location. This budget is spent in accordance with the results of discussions on building design plans and building budget plans that have been discussed together.
The support provided for the Tunas Karya Kindergarten construction relocation program activities was used to purchase required materials and construction stages consisting of preliminary work, earth excavation work, foundation and concrete casting work, wall installation work, floor and ceramic work. Door and window work, roof and ceiling work, wall painting work, electrical work and water sanitation work. The implementation of the program is directly supervised by YIIM and Partners and contractors who have been appointed through the processes and mechanisms that apply at YIIM.
The kindergarten building will be very useful for students of Tunas Karya Kindergarten students and residents around the PTPN VIII area, Kebon Gede Cianjur, West Java. This assistance is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goal Number 4 regarding support for quality education.
