On July 27th 2023, The Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development or known as Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) held a social humanitarian assistance program for economic empowerment for friends with disabilities who are pre-prosperous. YIIM and INSIGHT provide economic empowerment support through living expenses assistance and credit agent business assistance and online transactions.
Mr. A. Yandi Dhimaz Permana Putra (31 years) or usually called Putra is a disabled person with a disability (walking using both hands) since the age of two caused by polio, he does not have a permanent job
His daily activities are in the Al-Bina Mosque environment, GBK Senayan Complex, Central Jakarta, just to help tidy up the sandals of the congregation and get a sincere wage which is used to finance his life.
With conditions that have physical limitations, he must continue to earn money so they can support his life and also his mother which in his hometown. The routine expenses made by Putra are to pay the rent for a residence on Jl. Ciledug Raya, Kel. Ululjami, Kec. Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, eating and drinking as well as transportation from the boarding house to the Al-Bina Mosque.
After getting help from YIIM and INSIGHT, Putra now has business under the name Putra Cell’s credit agent business and online transactions. He promoted this business online through the Whatsapp application and offline around the boarding house and in the Al-Bina Mosque area. In a day, Putra can serve six to seven purchases. The background of having worked and the physical condition of Putra has not discourage his intention and enthusiasm to improve his destiny to make it even better.
Assistance was given directly by Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as INSIGHT’s CSR Coordinator. On this occasion, Mr. Isnaeni conveyed “INSIGHT, according to its tagline, investments to social impact, invites the public to invest while providing a social impact on society. We and YIIM consistently hold activities like this so that CSR funds can have a real impact on community self-reliance.”
Putra also said “Thank you to YIIM and INSIGHT for the assistance provided. Thanks to this assistance, I am now independent and able to help my family in my hometown. I am also increasingly motivated to be able to help people with the limitations that I have. Hopefully YIIM and INSIGHT will be even more successful and continue to spread inspiration to help other friends with disabilities who are less fortunate.”
The programs of YIIM and INSIGHT can serve as examples for the community as investment managers and institutions who care about people’s welfare. This assistance is also aligned with the agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 1 on ending poverty and number 3 on healthy and prosperous lives. YIIM is very open to anyone who wants to support other social programs.
