On Monday, 19th June 2023 the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development or known as Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) in cooperation with Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) and also in collaboration with Dharma Wanita of Carenang District, held Entrepreneurship Management and Family Financial Management Training with the theme “Spirit of Empowerment of Economic Entrepreneurship for the Carenang Community”.
This program is a form of commitment and form of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from INSIGHT to the people of Carenang District with the spirit of transforming investment for good social impact and the spirit of YIIM, namely spreading inspiration to lead positive energy for development of Indonesia better. This program is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, especially SDGs Number 2 regarding on preventing hunger and SDGs Number 17 regarding partnerships to achieve goals.
The training was held in the Hall of the Carenang District Office in Panenjoan Village, Carenang District, Serang Regency, Banten. The training agenda was held from 08.30 WIB to 12.00 WIB. The training activity was attended by 45 participants, both wives of state civil servants (ASN) and MSME activists in Carenang District, Serang Regency, Banten.
The training event was attended by Mr. Arif Roikhan as Head of Carenang Sub-district, Mrs. Alvinna Amir as Chairperson of the Dharma Wanita As sociation of Carenang Subdistrict, Mrs. Riccana Rosita as Treasurer of YIIM, Mr. Herlanda Putra as YIIM Finance Staff, Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as INSIGHT’s CSR Coordinator, Mrs. Alifah Ghina Maharani as Deputy Head of Retail Sales INSIGHT.
This training activity began with opening remarks from Mr. Arif Roikhan. He has delivered, “Thank you and highest appreciation to all who were the driving forces in this training, namely INSIGHT Company and thank you for being given the opportunity to provide valuable training for the residents of Carenang District. That this opportunity does not come twice, let’s make apply and practice this training which will certainly be beneficial for the participants. This activity is also in accordance with the vision and mission of Dharma Wanita, especially in terms of economics. Hopefully this training will bring goodness to the people of Carenang.”
Then Ms. Alvinna Amir as Chairperson of the Dharma Wanita Association of Carenang District gave a speech “Thank you to INSIGHT and YIIM for their concern for Carenang residents to provide training. It is hoped the training participant will make the best use of this training time and can be applied to entrepreneurship. Hopefully YIIM and INSIGHT can provide other trainings to support Carenang residents.”
Then Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan has delivered “INSIGHT is an investment management company that has been established since the year of 2003, with the aim of “Transforming Investments to Social Impact” through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Where turning investment into social impact, meaning that every social activity such as this training is carried out thanks to investment from investors, every INSIGHT product has a CSR budget. Such as the community empowerment training in Carenang Sub-District is a blessing from investors at INSIGHT inviting people to invest and care. Hopefully this training can be useful for Carenang residents and according to their needs.”
The training began with the first material presentation session by Mrs. Alifah Ghina Maharani as Deputy Head of Retail Sales INSIGHTS. The material provided was about the Savings and Investments financial literacy series, where participants were given knowledge on how to have good financial planning and the risks of saving money in cash. In addition, participants were given information about the types of investment and understanding for investing. In addition to giving material, Ms. Alifah also gave several examples of wrong financial and investment cases that often occur in society, for example fraudulent investment.
Then the second material was given by Ms. Riccana Rosita as Treasurer of YIIM and Mr. Herlanda Putra as YIIM’s Financial Staff. The material provided is about MSME Business Financial Management, MSME taxes and criteria for being taxed. Participants were also taught how to calculate Cost of Goods Sold (HPP) and participants were given examples of calculating HPP. Furthermore, participants were taught about MSME financial management how to separate personal finance and business finance and the discipline of recording all financial income and expenses. The presenters also provided examples of applications for business cash books that could be used by participants.
After finishing the material presentation session, followed by a question and answer session. The participants were very enthusiastic asking questions to the three presenters. The question were asked whether there should be a limit in lending money, then some participants also asked how to find out which investment had been registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the answer to this question was answered by Ms. Alifah, namely participants can find out easily via the internet. Then there was also Mrs. Enok Sadiyah, one of the participants who is an MSME activist, consulting on how to reduce business capital and increase profits in order to develop her business
It is hoped that after the training, the participants can develop in an effort to support the family economy, help families to have external income. It is hoped that it is not only for oneself, but can be transformed to society.
As a non-profit organization, YIIM is very open to all parties who wish to support or make donations in any form. Because every donation given to YIIM will be distributed directly to the rightful beneficiaries.
