On 18th to 19th October in the year of 2022, Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) in cooperation with Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) were attending an introduction to campus life organized by the Plantation Polytechnic Institute (LPP) Yogyakarta. Also were present representatives of the Plantation Pension Fund (DAPENBUN) in order to realize this scholarship program be success. For the year of 2022 especially in the new academic year, starting in October 2022, INSIGHT and YIIM in cooperation with DAPENBUN provide scholarships for 3 (three) students from LPP Yogyakarta. As of 2018, there have been a total of 14 (fourteen) LPP Yogyakarta students who have been granted educational scholarships.

This scholarship assistance is part of INSIGHT’s commitment through its Social Responsibility program to help underprivileged and outstanding students and who are also active and have high social awareness both within campus and outside campus. The ceremony was held in the LPP Yogyakarta campus hall. The event was opened by the Chancellor of LPP Yogyakarta, Ir. M. Mustangin, ST. M. Eng, IPM in his speech, he expressed the hope that the students can excel and grow the plantation industry in the archipelago. “Hopefully the students be able to study hard and being excel, which eventually become professional plantation industry implementers.”

Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the Insight Investments Management Company, Mr. Guntur Swaputra who also symbolically provided scholarship assistance to 3 (three) students conveyed “Insight Investments Management Company gives hope the scholarship will provide great benefits and be able to produce outstanding graduates.”

The event was also filled with various discussions, one of which was held with the theme “Students and Social Entrepreneurship.” Present as resource person Mr. Chrisbiantoro as chairman of the YIIM Management, in the discussion Mr. Chris conveyed “entrepreneurship is important and must be owned by students thus in the future sustainability can be maintained and able to contribute to national economic growth. MSMEs are one of the sectors that could improve the Indonesian economy, so we need to activate it and LPP Yogyakarta students can be part of this spirit.”

This event is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB) program, especially TPB number 4 regarding on Quality Education. By supporting educational assistance, especially for underprivileged and high achieving students, it means providing as many opportunities as possible for Indonesian youth to obtain higher education.
