On June 2, 2022, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) was supported by its main partner Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) held a social activity of Health Checkup Assistance and Free Vitamin Distribution as well as Books and Learning Equipment Assistance for residents of Praikilimbatu Village and Kambatana Village, Waingapu, East Nusa Tenggara.
YIIM and INSIGHT provided assistance directly to representatives of the two villages. The assistance provided was 250 packages of medicines, 250 packages of vitamins, 2 packages of cholesterol test kits, 10 packages of cholesterol test strips, 10 packages of blood sugar test strips, 10 packages of uric acid test strips, 2 packages of lancets needles. The educational assistance provided was more than 50 reading books and 250 goodie bag packages containing milk, snacks, and stationery.
Reading books and stationery packages were provided for Palindi elementary school, Kambatana Village, and Early Childhood Education (Paud Pintar) in Praikilimbatu Village, Pandawai District, NTT. Paud Pintar is an early childhood education founded by local residents to help educate the children of Praikilimbatu Village.
At the same time, YIIM and INSIGHT provided free medical check-ups and free medicines for the residents of Praikilimbatu Village. Health tests for residents are carried out by Sumba Volunteers, blood sugar tests, uric acid tests, and cholesterol tests and blood pressure tests have been carried out. INSIGHT and YIIM also provided medical assistance for residents in need from the results of the examination carried out and were given vitamins for residents.
It is hoped that from this assistance the residents can monitor their health conditions, and can meet the needs of medicines and vitamins for residents to have a good and quality health life.
As a form of corporate social responsibility, INSIGHT collaborates with YIIM to support literacy awareness for children in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) region as well as improving the health quality of residents. This event is in line with the agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 3 regarding good health and well-being, number 4 which is ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education, and number 17 regarding partnerships for the goals.
Mrs. Dewi Astari conveyed, “The synergy between YIIM and Insight Investments Management Company and Sumba Volunteers in this event is expected to bring benefits to the residents of Praikilimbatu Village and Kambatana Village. This program is an embodiment of concern for the health and education of residents, in line with SDG Program numbers 3, 4 and 17. Hopefully this event can inspire other parties to participate in improving the health and education quality of the residents of Praikilimbatu Village and Kambatana Village, Waingapu ” .
Village representatives expressed their gratitude for YIIM and INSIGHT’s concern for education and health for NTT residents. The assistance provided was very much needed and also beneficial for the children and residents of Praikilimbatu Village and Kambatana Village.
