Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) in collaboration with Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) and the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) organized a social and educational assistance program to the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School and Tanjung Balam Village, Siak Hulu and to the Tanjung Balam village community, Teratak sub-district on October 14th in the year of 2022, These two locations are located in Kampar Regency, Riau Province.
This social and educational program is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) namely, number 1 regarding zero hunger, number 2 regarding reducing poverty, number 4 regarding support for quality education, and number 17 regarding partnerships to achieve goals.
YIIM and INSIGHT provided assistance to the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School located on H. Usman street, Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu district, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The event was attended by representatives of the Islamic boarding school, Ustadz Abdull Malik as the Chair of the Foundation and Ustadz Sirjon Al – Fatih as the Leader of the Foundation, as well as 25 male students and 25 female students.
The assistance provided by YIIM and INSIGHT to the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School was a basic food package containing Rice, Instant Noodles, Cooking Oil, Sugar, Tea, Coffee, Eggs, Soy Sauce, Flour, Sweetened Condensed Milk, and Sardines with a total of IDR. 4,000,000, and a Worship Equipment package containing prayer mats, caps, adult children’s mukena, sarongs, Al-Quran, religious books, and blackboards with a total of IDR 4,000,000.
On the same day, YIIM and INSIGHT provided assistance to the library of residents of Tanjung Balam village, Teratak Bulu sub-district, Kampar district, Riau province. The event was attended by Mr. Heru as the head of hamlet 3, Oka the general chairman of HIPMI Pekanbaru, and children from grades 1 to 4 of elementary school.
The assistance provided by YIIM and INSIGHT is a Book Package containing novels, children’s reading books, children’s story books, picture books, religious books, and thematic books with a total of IDR 3,000,000, 75 pax children’s gifts containing box milk, biscuits, jelly, and school stationery (drawing books, notebooks, pencils, pens, colored pencils). In the event of providing assistance, several competitions and quizzes were held for local children. The aid distribution was assisted by student volunteers from the New Generation of Indonesia (GENBI) Riau and HMI Kohati Pekanbaru Branch.
The social assistance and education program was attended by Mr. Suluh Tripambudi Rahardjo as CSR Coordinator of Insight Investment Management Company and Mrs. Riccana Rosita as Treasurer of the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM).
On this occasion, Mr. Suluh Tripambudi Rahardjo as the CSR Coordinator of Insight Investment Management Company conveyed,
“On this occasion we are grateful to be able to share with the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School and the people of Tanjung Balam Village. Hopefully with this educational and social tool assistance, it can be useful for all students of the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School and children in Tanjung Balam Village. This program is part of INSIGHT’s commitment to transforming investments into social impact.”
Furthermore, Mrs. Riccana Rosita as Treasurer Management of the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) said,
“YIIM as a partner of INSIGHT in cooperation with the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) and the New Generation of Indonesia (GENBI) Riau are delighted to be able to share this program with the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School and the Tanjung Balam Village community. This program is one form of the realization of SDG’s 1, 2, 4 and 17. Hopefully with this program it can inspire to share with others”
Representatives of the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School and the Tanjung Balam Village community expressed their gratitude to YIIM and INSIGHT for their concern for education and social services for the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School and the Tanjung Balam Village community. The assistance provided was very useful and much needed by the Uways Al Qorni Islamic Boarding School and the people of Tanjung Balam Village.
The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development as a non-profit organization is open to all parties who wish to support or provide donations in any form. Thus more and more components of the nation are involved in increasing the literacy of Indonesian children.
