In commemoration of the national children’s day which falls on July 23 in the year of 2022, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) supported by Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) collaborates with Rumah Langit Community to organize social and educational programs, namely the provision of reading books and stationery to children under the guidance of the Rumah Langit Foundation specifically the children of scavengers in the Kramat Jati area, East Jakarta on July 27 in the year of 2022.
This social and educational program is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in particular SDGs number 1 regarding End of Poverty, number 2 concerning Zero Hunger and number 4 on Support for Quality Education.
The assistance provided consisted of 50 packages containing stationery in the form of pencils, pens, books, drawing pencils, children’s snacks, and 50 reading books in the form of children’s story books and drawing books. The handover of reading books and stationery assistance was given directly to 50 children of scavenger residents at 14.00 WIB in the area of the house of street residents and scavenger children, namely Gg. Komban No.97, RT.11/RW.11, Kp. Middle, District. Kramat Jati, East Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta.
In this program, Mr. Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as Program Manager of YIIM was also present and Mr. George as representative of the Rumah Langit Community.
On this occasion, Mr. Suluh T Rahardjo as the CSR Coordinator of INSIGHT conveyed, “We are very grateful to be able to share with the scavenger children, residents of the Kramat Jati area, East Jakarta. This assistance is one of Insight’s concerns as part of INSIGHT’s commitment, namely transforming investments into social impact. Hopefully this assistance can provide benefits for children in need.”
Mr. Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as Program Manager of YIIM also conveyed, “In commemorating the national children’s day YIIM is supported by INSIGHT to distribute a little assistance and educational and social gifts for the children of scavenger residents of Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. Hopefully the scavengers are pleased with this assistance and hopefully it will be useful”.
Mr. George as the representative of Rumah Langit conveyed, “Thank you to INSIGHT and YIIM have collaborated with the Rumah Langit Community in providing reading and stationery assistance to the scavengers assisted by Rumah Langit. Hopefully this assistance can be useful for children and can increase children reading interest.”
The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development as a non-profit organization is open to all parties who wish to support or provide donations in any form. Thus more components of the nation are involved in increasing the literacy of Indonesian children.
