Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) in cooperation with Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) as well as in collaboration with the Berdikari Bangun Bangsa Foundation (YBBB), on June 21, 2022 held a social humanitarian program for the provision of public facilities for access to clean water and bathing, washing, and latrines (MCK) in Bogor Regency and training on fish cultivation in bucket (Budikdamber) in South Tangerang City.
This program is relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs No. 1 on reducing poverty and TPB No. 2 for reducing hunger.
These two (2) series of activities are carried out in one (1) day on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. The first event, the inauguration of the opening of the bucket fish cultivation training (Budikdamber) for 15 underprivileged communities in the Parung Bogor area, this event was held at 09.30 West Indonesia Time to finish at the YBBB Office at Jl Kecapi 2 No 40, RT 08/RW 05, Pisangan, Ciputat District, South Tangerang City, Banten.
Budikdamber is very beneficial for training residents to take advantage of their home and living areas to be more productive for fish farming which provides to increasing value economically and can at least support household consumption.
The second event was the inauguration of the provision of clean water public facilities and toilets for underprivileged communities in Pabuaran Village, Batok, Tenjo District, Bogor Regency, West Java at 11.30 WIB until finished. The facilities are in the form of two (2) door toilets for MCK and one (1) water reservoir. Before being given assistance in providing toilets, 15 families from the community in the village used the river water that flows beside their houses due to inability to afford to pay for PAM water. Now, the beneficiary villagers are able to take advantage of clean water and toilet facilities.
The event was also attended by Mrs. Riccana Rosita as Treasurer of YIIM, Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as Program Manager of YIIM, Mr. Ade Sulaiman as Chair of YBBB along with staff, representatives of Budikdamber beneficiaries, and Mr. Empay the chairman of RT Kp Pabuaran.
On the same occasion, Mr. Suluh T Rahardjo as the CSR Coordinator of PT INSIGHT conveyed “we are grateful to be able to share for the underprivileged community. Hopefully, with public toilet facilities and this budikdamber training, it can provide benefits for people in need. We are from INSIGHT through social programs in cooperation with YIIM seeks to help to provide benefits to the community. This program is part of INSIGHT’s commitment, namely transforming investments into social impact”.
Furthermore, from the YIIM representative, Mrs. Riccana Rosita as the treasurer of the YIIM management conveyed “YIIM as a partner of Insight Investments Management Company is proud that through this program we can share with the community and spread inspiration to continue to do good and share with others.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Ade Sulaiman as the Chair of YBBB as well as the companion of this program conveyed, “Thank you to INSIGHT and YIIM who have collaborated with YBBB in distributing funding and assistance in the form of budikdamber training and the provision of clean water public facilities and toilets. In particular, for the residents of Pabuaran village, the provision of MCK facilities is very helpful for the residents. Since previously residents only accessed water from the river for bathing, washing, and defecating, where cleanliness was not guaranteed. Residents really have no other choice because to access clean water here it is enough to spend a large amount of money for them. Thank you”
