On June 16, 2022, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) supported by Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) through the Education Program in collaboration with the Academic Community of the University of Bahaudin Mudhary Madura (UNIBA Madura) held an Entrepreneurship and Investment Webinar.
This webinar is a form of YIIM and INSIGHT’s commitment, supported by Madura United, deems it important to provide education about entrepreneurship and the importance of investing to the academic community and the public. In addition, this program is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically the number 1 goal of eradicating poverty, number 4 of quality education, number 6 supporting decent work and economic growth, number 10 reducing inequality as well as SDGs No. 16 concerning strong state institutions and SDGs No. 17 concerning inter-institutional cooperation.
This event was held in a hybrid manner at the hall of UNIBA Madura and through the ZOOM Meeting application. A total of 106 participants who took part in the webinar came from various backgrounds, including YIIM scholarship beneficiaries, students, and entrepreneurs. The committee for the Entrepreneurship and Investment Webinar is a student from UNIBA Madura who received YIIM and INSIGHT inspirational education scholarships. Since in the year of 2018, YIIM supported by INSIGHT has provided scholarship assistance to 40 UNIBA Madura students.
This event presented one keynote speaker, Mrs. Annisa Zhafarina as Chief Operating Officer of Madura United and two resource persons namely Mr. Suluh Tripambudi Rahardjo as Head of CSR Team Insight Investments Management Company and Mr. Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as YIIM Program Manager. The moderator of the event Mr. Achmad Zuhri, is a Management Lecturer at UNIBA Madura.
As the opening of the webinar, the Chancellor of UNIBA Madura, Prof. Dr. H. Rachmad Hidayat conveyed “This Entrepreneurship and Investment Webinar event is an extraordinary moment for students to gain knowledge and expected that students can take advantage of today’s event. This is a good moment to take knowledge and experience from the speakers. We grateful to YIIM and Insight Investments Management Company for always supporting education at UNIBA Madura.”
The first resource person, Mr. Suluh Tripambudi Rahardjo, explained the importance of financial literacy, especially investing in the capital market and mutual funds, and explained how to invest in the capital market and mutual funds that are safe, especially for students. After that, the second resource person, Mr. Achmad Fanani Rosyidi, he gave material on social entrepreneurship and how young people can become entrepreneurs and be able to improve the economy. After the two speakers explained the material, Mrs. Annisa Zhafarina continued with the keynote speaker, sharing her experiences in the business world, especially the experience of leading the Madura United football club business.
This webinar lasts for two and a half hours from 13.00 WIB – 15.30 WIB, the webinar participants are very enthusiastic about asking questions ranging from how to start a business to how to invest with mutual funds. Students who ask questions get the opportunity to receive a giveaway that has been provided by the committee.
By holding this webinar, YIIM expects thus the participants understand how to invest safely. In addition, it also fosters the spirit and passion of social entrepreneurship for students to become entrepreneurs who are beneficial to society. As well as the collaboration between YIIM and the academic community can be maintained.
