Teuku Muhammad Bahari or called Ari, is one of the scholarship recipients who is currently pursuing higher education at the Ar-Raniry State Islamic University (UINAR) Banda Aceh. He is currently in the fourth semester majoring in Architecture, Faculty of Science and Technology. Ari has always had an interest in architecture and felt challenged to learn about it.
For Ari, education is a key of successful, starts with a willingness to learn. In addition, studying can be a way to establish the widest possible relation. This is the reason of Ari be active in non-academic activities on campus. Starting from the field of sports, Ari became the representative of Badminton for his study program. Then in the religious field, Ari participated in the Qur’an Center during the month of Ramadan at the campus mosque. He is also active in carrying out campus organizational activities by serving as the OSPEK committee and the Grand Conference of the Architecture Study Program. Finally, the benefits to others are also spread by becoming a natural disaster volunteer on April in the year of 2021.
His hometown is located in Gampong Ule Glee, where many children drop out of school due to unfavorable economic conditions. Ari also had barrier to continue his education to a higher level because of limited funds. According to him, tuition fees are relatively high for the society. However, he still wanted to go to college because he inspired by many figures such as cleric, lecturers, and school principals who lives around him. They have a high level of educational background, at least a bachelor’s degree. Realizing potential and strong desire that Ari has, the cleric at the orphanage where Ari grew up recommended him to take an educational scholarship from Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) in collaboration with Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM). Previously, YIIM and INSIGHT had assisted in the education of children from the Bustanul Aitam Foundation orphanage to master’s education programs.
Ari greatly helped with the assistance in the form of educational scholarships from YIIM and INSIGHT. Tuition fees that were previously an obstacle now can be overcome. However, he still tries to make extra money by working side jobs such as selling clothes and working at a chicken slaughterhouse and furniture production. Ari hopes that in the future he can continue to spread the benefits to others. Starting from helping orphaned children to helping children who are difficult to access education in their hometown, Gampong Ulee Gle, Pidie Jaya.

Education is a basic right for anyone and plays a role in increasing Indonesia’s competitiveness. This is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal Number 4, namely “Ensuring the Quality of Inclusive and Equitable Education and Increasing Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All”. In order to realize this goals , Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) in cooperation with Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) provided educational scholarships for students.
