The Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development, also known as Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in cooperation from PT Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT), hosted a number of events on Thursday, March 13, 2025, as part of the Gempita Ramadan program. These events included the distribution of free haircuts and fast-breaking packages. Two barber training alumni—Aging Patmoko, who completed the 2019 barber training, and Budi Saputra, who completed the 2024 barber training—contributed to this action.

This activity was conducted at the Bina Anak Pertiwi Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization managed by 21 foundation administrators that specializes in helping orphans and street children. As of right now, the Bina Anak Pertiwi Foundation has 318 foster children in total, ranging in age from 5 to 18. Although just eight foster children reside at the Bina Anak Pertiwi Foundation, nearly all of them continue to live with their relatives.

During the activity, the youngsters were quite excited to line up to get their hair shaved, which had begun to grow long. This enthusiasm was shared not only by the youngsters, but also by numerous residents of the foundation who wished to get their hair shaved so that it looked neater and fresher when Eid al-Fitr arrived. In addition to free haircuts, YIIM and INSIGHT handed 50 breaking-fast packages containing takjil and hearty meals to children and residents of the Bina Anak Pertiwi Foundation.

This event is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, particularly SDG 2 on eradicating hunger and ensuring access to safe and nutritious food. YIIM and INSIGHT remain committed to disseminating inspiration to many community groups and locations across Indonesia. Hopefully, this exercise will encourage people to share with each other.
