On Thursday, March 7th 2024, the Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development or known as Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) in cooperation with Insight Investments Management Company organized make up training. This training was attended by 14 female participants ranging in age from 20 to 55 years, as well as one participant with special vision needs or low vision. This activity took place from 09.30 to 15.30 WIB and was held at YIIM Office.

This make-up training event began with an opening speech by Mr. Chrisbiantoro as a Chairman of the YIIM Board. In his speech, he emphasized to all participants to maintain enthusiasm and involvement in activities.

This training was guided by Regita Cahyani, a YIIM make-up training alumnus who currently manages the Gitaacms Wedding make-up service business. Regita has also obtained a certificate from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). Participants are given theory and direct practice in applying makeup to the face. They were also given a make-up training module book prepared by YIIM and the training team, and equipped with a make-up equipment package.

The material presented in make-up training covers various important aspects of applying make-up. First of all, participants were introduced to in-depth theoretical knowledge about different types of facial skin and their characteristics. They learnt to identify skin types and understand how the characteristics of each skin type influence the selection of appropriate products and makeup techniques.

Apart from that, participants were also taught about various make-up tools used in the make-up process. They were given an in-depth understanding of the function of each tool and techniques for using it to achieve the desired results. As part of the practice, participants simulate cleaning and applying make-up. They train directly under the guidance of trainers and assistant trainers. Make-up models were presented as examples, where participants can directly apply the techniques they learn to the model’s face. Trainers play an active role in providing individual guidance to participants, ensuring that they understand and apply techniques correctly.

Furthermore, the question and answer session provides as an opportunity for participants to interact directly with the trainer. Participants showed high enthusiasm in asking questions, from more advanced make-up techniques to choosing and applying foundation that suits various skin types, to how to become a professional make-up artist, and how to start a make-up business.

This program is also part of YIIM and INSIGHT’s commitment to support government programs to realize the entrepreneurial spirit and foster the spirit of potential and the local economy of the community.
