On August 17th in the year of 2023, The Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development or known as Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) in cooperation with Dharma Wanita, Carenang District, Banten Province held a discussion of the upcoming for the next social entrepreneurship training program which later will be held in Carenang, Banten. The implementation of this social entrepreneurship training program is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 1 regarding on fighting poverty, Number 8 regarding on concerning decent work and economic growth, and Number 17 regarding on partnerships to achieve the goals.
Previously, YIIM and Insight Investment Management Company (INSIGHT) had collaborated with Dharma Wanita, Carenang District, Banten Province to implement a financial management and entrepreneurship management literacy program which was held on June 19th in the year of 2023 at the Carenang District Hall, Banten. To increase the knowledge and skills of the Carenang community, YIIM and INSIGHT in cooperation with Dharma Wanita Carenang District, Banten have discussed holding various social entrepreneurship training for the community of Carenang District, Banten. At the same time, team from YIIM has visited and took part in the August 17 ceremony in Carenang District Government which was held at the Carenang District Office located at Panenjoan Village, Carenang District, Serang Regency, Banten.
This discussion was attended by Mrs. Alvinna Ammir as the head of the Carenang Banten District Dharma Wanita, Mr. Arif Roikhan, the Head of the Carenang Banten District, and Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as the YIIM Program Manager.
In this discussion, Mrs. Alvinna Ammir as the head of the Carenang District Dharma Wanita, Banten conveyed, “I hope that the implementation of the upcoming social entrepreneurship training can improve the skills and abilities of the Carenang community. Community will be able to have income and from this income people can support their families and people can save from their income.”
And also Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as YIIM Program Manager said, “YIIM and INSIGHT will continue to help the Carenang sub-district improve the prosperity of the Carenang community by holding this social entrepreneurship training. “We hope that YIIM, INSIGHT and Carenang District be able to keep working together with the aim of improving the community’s economy and making the community economically independent.”
Apart from discussions on social entrepreneurship training programs, YIIM also took part in recycling used clothes activities with Cahaya Cinta Carenang. This activity is ecoprint plant based such as flowers and leaves using used clothing as the media.
