On Sunday, December 25th in the year of 2022, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) is supported by Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) who provided donations for the services of a team of doctors for a mass circumcision activity program for orphans and underprivileged community and the general public held by the Youth of Raya Al Insan Mosque, Jakarta.
This activity is part of the Humane and Religious Social Program. In addition, this program is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG’s number 3 regarding to healthy living and supporting prosperity for all ages and SDG’s number 17 concerning partnerships to achieve goals. This mass circumcision activity is also a form of concern and Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from INSIGHT which was assigned to YIIM to help orphans and underprivileged families.
The event started at 06.00 WIB, located in the hall of Raya Al Insan Mosque, Patal Senayan 1 street, Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta. The rainy weather did not hinder the enthusiasm of the children who were to be circumcised. Prior to the activity, the circumcision participants pre-registered. A total of 73 children, ranging from 2 to 13 years old, have benefited from YIIM and INSIGHT mass circumcision assistance programs.
The mass circumcision was attended by INSIGHT’s CSR Coordinator Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan and YIIM’s program implementer Mrs. Ratih Puspita. The event started with the recitation of the holy Qur’an. After reading the holy Qur’an, Chairman of the Mosque Welfare Board (BKM) Mosque Raya Al Insan, Mr. Ari Kuncoro, delivered “This annual mass circumcision carried out by Raya Al Insan Mosque intended for orphans and underprivileged families. We thank INSIGHT and YIIM for supporting this activity and entrusting their fortune to us. Hopefully this activity will be of benefit to the participants who attended and also hope that the donors will be rewarded for their kindness on this day”.
Furthermore, Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan conveyed; “Representing Insight Investments Management Company, I was given the mandate to attend the mass circumcision activity at the Al Insan Mosque. I see the enthusiasm of all the younger people and ladies, during school holidays and in the rain to carry out their duties as men. This activity is supported by INSIGHT as an investment company that has the profile and goal of turning investment into social impact. This activity is not just once or twice, we turn all the profits that we get from investors into social activities. One of the social activities that we carry out is empowering MSMEs. All the benefits of mutual funds and investments to help underprivileged people. This activity is one of our health pillar programs. The public can also donate to our foundation, the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development. Hopefully the INSIGHT company can continue to have a social impact on the wider community so as to provide prosperity for all.”
After the opening remarks, the symbolic handover of assistance was given by Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan to Mr. Ari Kuncoro.
After remarks and the handing over of aid, the process of mass circumcision continued. The circumcision process collaborated with the circumcision house Nayla Home Care and Al-Malik Home Care & Khitan Center under the supervision of the Kebayoran Lama Hospital. This mass circumcision uses the super ring or ring circumcision method, this method has advantages, ranging from a fast process to minimal risk of bleeding. A total of 11 cubicles of the circumcision room were provided during the mass circumcision process. After the circumcision process was complete, the participants were given medicine and goodie bags.
One of the participants, on behalf of Rizky Akbar and his father, on behalf of Khairudin, stated that the mass circumcision program conducted by INSIGHT and YIIM greatly helped them. The son, who really wanted to be circumcised, but his father could not afford it because he had not had a permanent job for a long time and is currently a casual laborer, feels helped because it has lightened his burden to fulfill his religious obligations.
YIIM, in cooperation with the support of INSIGHT, continues to be committed to spreading inspiration to various regions in Indonesia. YIIM, as a non-profit organization, is open to all parties who wish to support or make donations in any form, because every donation given to YIIM will be distributed directly to the beneficiaries who are entitled and less fortunate.
