On July 27th in the year of 2022 Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or known as The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) supported by Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) collaborates with the Muara Angke Traditional Fisherman Community to organize social and educational programs, namely the provision of reading books and stationery to the children of traditional fishermen in Muara Angke, North Jakarta.

This activity is part of a series of events for children’s education and social assistance programs to commemorate national children’s day which falls on July 23rd in the year of 2022. This program is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs number 1 regarding End of Poverty, number 2 concerning zero hunger and number 4 on support for quality education.

The assistance provided consisted of 50 packages containing stationery in the form of pencils, pens, books, drawing pencils, children’s snacks, and 50 reading books in the form of children’s story books and drawing books. This assistance was handed over directly to 50 children of Muara Angke traditional fishermen at 16.30 WIB in the traditional fishing community of Muara Angke, North Jakarta, DKI Jakarta province.

In this assistance program, Mr. Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as Program Manager of YIIM was also present and Mr. Khalil as representative of the Muara Angke Traditional Fisherman Community.

On this occasion, Mr. Achmad Fanani Rosyidi as Program Manager of YIIM conveyed, “In commemorating the national children’s day YIIM is supported by INSIGHT to distribute a little assistance and educational and social gifts for the children of the fishermen of Muara Angke. Hopefully, all the fishermen will be pleased with this assistance and hopefully it will be useful.”

Mr. Suluh T Rahardjo as CSR Coordinator of INSIGHT also conveyed “We are very grateful to be able to share with the children of the fishermen of the traditional fishing community of Muara Angke. This assistance is one of Insight’s concerns as part of INSIGHT’s commitment, namely transforming investments into social impact. Hopefully this assistance can provide benefits for children in need.”

Mr. Khalil as the representative of the Muara Angke Traditional Fisherman Community said, “Thank you YIIM and INSIGHT for the assistance of books and stationery. The children are delighted and enthusiastic by the time this assistance is given. Hopefully this assistance will be useful for the children of the fishermen of Kaliadem, Muara Angke and also hopefully in the future we can work together to improve the education of the children of the fishermen of Kaliadem, Muara Angke.”

The Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development as a non-profit organization is open to all parties who wish to support or provide donations in any form. Thus more components of the nation are involved in increasing the literacy of Indonesian children.
