After the Barber training which was organized on October 19 2023, the Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development or known as Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) monitored the alumni who participated in the barber training. From the monitoring results, several alumni started planning to start a business, including Ari Said, Adytia Rahman and Erwin Surnaya.

In particular, Ari Said, one of the barber training alumni and also the owner of a coffee shop located in Leuwimunding Village, Majalengka Regency, West Java, delivered that together with the barber training alumni, he would deepen barber skills and abilities to prepare for opening an independent business. Apart from that, the alumni are currently preparing a social service plan in the form of community service to provide free shaving services to the community around where the barber training alumni live.

Ari delivered, “Currently my fellow alumni and I are preparing a proposal and schedule for carrying out skills deepening training independently and also plans to carry out social service in the form of free hair shaving community service.” Meanwhile, one of the training participants, Erwin Surnaya, had the courage to practice cutting hair directly from consumers who were present at his place of business.

The location for the barbershop chosen by Erwin Surnaya to start a business is located in Rangkas Bitung, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Going forward, YIIM will continue to monitor the development of barber alumni’s business plans, especially alumni from the class of 2023. Previously, YIIM has also produced many small and medium scale barber businesses.
