On Thursday 12th October 2023 YIIM and INSIGHT collaborated with Carenang Banten District. Carrying the theme of entrepreneurial spirit fosters the local economic spirit of the Carenang community. This training was attended by 25 participants, mothers and young women from Dharma Wanita PBB (DWP) and representatives of Carenang District Early Childhood Education (PAUD) school principals. The activity took place at 08.30. until 15.00 WIB.
The make-up training activity began with opening remarks, the first speech was delivered by Mrs. Alvinna Amir as Chair of the Carenang District Dharma Wanita Association, she said ;Firstly, we would like to thank the cooperative support from YIIM and Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) so that make-up skills training event can be held today, hopefully today’s training can be the opportunity for us to work together and apply the results of knowledge and skills from soft skills training, because this training needs to be sharpened and carried out repeatedly so that this training can become a source of sustenance for all mothers. So I invite all mothers who are participants in today’s training, so that this make-up training doesn’t just stop within us, but we can also spreading it to our immediate environment and surroundings, such as to parents, children and maybe also our brothers and sisters. Furthermore, this is also our effort as women to be economically independent and to support the family economy. Second, I also invite the participants to note down what skills we can explore, also do something we like as a way of healing thus we can spreading our energy.
Second speech from Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as CSR INSIGHT coordinator, in his speech he said This is the second meeting with colleagues in Carenang and I also feel proud because of the community empowerment program, especially for women in Carenang District, this is a form of corporate social responsibility Our support comes from mutual fund investors Insight, in the future we hope that the training will not only stop, but in collaboration with YIIM we can also carry out other trainings, with different participants of course, even if participants who have taken part in previous training are also involved, of course we hope for the commitment of strong participants so that the impact of this community empowerment training program can have a significant impact on the community. Last, Insight also hopes that we can continue our work for other training. We will look at and carry out assessments and needs for training that we might be able to do again in the future.”
Third remark was from Imam Fadchurrozi as Secretary of the YIIM Management in his speech said, “YIIM as an institution that has a concentration on social entrepreneurship, has held training in various areas, one of which is in Carenang sub-district, YIIM hopes that from this training new initiatives or forms of business will emerge. “A new business that can have a positive impact and support life in the Carenang community because of the training we are doing today.
This make-up training was guided by Regita Cahyani and an assistant trainer, Regita Cahyani, an alumnus of YIIM make-up training who currently has a make-up service business under the name of Gitaacms Wedding. Regita has also obtained a BNSP certificate. In this make-up training, participants are given theory and direct practice in applying make-up to the face. Participants in this training are also provided with a make-up training module book prepared by YIIM and the training team. Apart from this training module, it is also supported by practical infrastructure in the form of a make-up equipment package. makeup which is provided in collaboration with the MAZAYA brand.
The material provided in this training includes theoretical explanations about facial skin and make-up tools, as well as practical simulations of cleaning and applying make-up which are directly demonstrated. After that, the practical session continued, all participants began to independently practice make-up methods which were demonstrated by the trainer to the make-up models. During the training, participants are accompanied by an assistant trainer and occasionally the trainer goes around to check the participants’ make-up results. After the practical session is finished, the question and answer session continues with the trainer. Participants were very enthusiastic about asking questions, the questions given ranged from make-up techniques and also how to apply foundation on various skin types. The trainer also provides information about the challenges and how to run a make-up business.
This program is also part of YIIM’s commitment and INSIGHT supports government programs to realize the entrepreneurial spirit and foster the potential and local economic spirit of the community. YIIM is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people from various circles, founded by social and humanitarian activists. To realize this goal, YIIM is open and opened to all forms of cooperation, support and donations from all groups so that it can be distributed to beneficiaries in need.
