On February 9, 2023 a Catfish Cultivation Grand Catching Ceremony was held, attended by Muhammad Isnaeni as CSR Coordinator of Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT), Edwind Sinaga as Main Director of the Plantation Pension Fund (DAPENBUN), Ki Agus Riki Ridwan as Main Director of Nusantara Niaga Argo Company (PT. NNA), and Hamdani as catfish manager.

Previously on November 15, 2022, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun or / the Foundation for Inspiration of Indonesia Development (YIIM) in cooperation with INSIGHT provided capital assistance for catfish farming to PTPN VIII plasma farmers. Catfish farming is located on land owned by NNA Company, Cikumpay Village, Purwakarta Regency, West Java. The assistance provided included procuring 225 kg or 17,750 catfish seeds and catfish feed.

The assistance program for the cultivation of catfish enlargement is carried out by plantation plasma farmers to help with income and a better standard of living. By utilizing the productive plantation land owned by NNA Company, which is a subsidiary of Nusantara Plantation VIII Company (PTPN VIII).

Since the provision of catfish seed assistance by YIIM and INSIGHT, the plasma farmers have managed to catching as much as 233 kg of catfish. The activities after the catfish are successfully catch then sell it to seasoned catfish collectors for the catfish pecel business, warteg, and selling directly to residents. This assistance has driven the economy of the people in the Cikumpay area. From the sales of the catfish catching, the farmers have earned a turnover of IDR. 4,427,000.- (four million four hundred twenty seven thousand rupiah).

The reason or purpose of this Community Empowerment Program is a form of concern for and Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) INSIGHT and cooperating with DAPENBUN. This empowerment activity is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 1 regarding on fighting poverty, Number 2 regarding on ending hunger, achieving food security and better nutrition, Number 8 regarding on decent work and economic growth, and Number 17 regarding on partnerships to achieve goals.

YIIM and INSIGHT continue to be committed to spreading inspiration to various regions in Indonesia. YIIM as a non-profit organization is open to all parties who wish to support or make donations in any form. Because every donation given to YIIM will be distributed directly to the beneficiaries who are entitled and less fortunate. Hopefully the good cooperation between these institutions will be further enhanced in the future in order to realize social welfare and can inspire people to share with each other.
